Attributed to the Buddha, Dhammapada verse 223 (Muller translation, 1881). The Dhammapada is a collection of verses from the Pali canon. The Buddha wrote nothing himself, and the collection credits the teaching to him. The popular "Conquer anger with non-anger..." is a looser wording.
